Was just browsing the shop with purple logo and saw the game renting service.

Was wondering if theres any other website out there offering the same service.

Can't see how that would work for online games as the serial will be in use by other ppl right??

If your referring to the fact that ocuk sell 1 console and a few acessories (mostly out of stock) at an uncompetitive price I'd hardly call them a competitor. Unless the section is hidden I can't find where ocuk sell video games on their own.

Uncompetative prices or not, still competition. PLus Game also sell some PC hardware, at uncompetative prices

If you are talking about a dvd player, they are. If you are talking about fruit and veg or breakfast cereal, they are not. If you want to mention supermarkets you should only do it in non technical boards.
Oh and they do also sell XBOX360 and digital cameras.

I used Metaboli.co.uk for a month - very good service! You must however be connected to the internet throughout your game play, you don't just download it and play forever.

Doesnt matter, I am always connected anyway Lol.

How are you able to play online then this way? Are the games limited to single player?

I think pretty much all the games that are normally multiplayer ARE multiplayer. All the games play as you would if you brought them, but you just have to launch them through the Metaboli player.
 
How do you go about playing online if the game requires a keycode to play it online? Or what about Lock-On and the IL2 series that both utilise the dreaded Starforce protection?
 
My copy of IL2 doesn't use starforce. I bought it through direct 2 drive, it doesn't have a disc. So there is your answer, through a different version of the game that doesn't use the copy protection.
 
The game's version on the metaboli website is different to the CD version. For example, stuff like the CD key needed isn't needed :p
