Up until recently I used to view a lot of reviews on Gametrailers.com, but I have recently become so annoyed at the bias they have towards console gaming that I have decided to avoid using the site where necessary.

Example being reviewing MW2 and Uncharted 2 with a high score, but then slating L4D2 for being unoriginal.

Whenever someone mentions bias towards consoling on the site they just announce all PC gamers are pirates and the PC is a dead format, which is obviously complete tripe and is highly representative of fanboyism.

So does anyone know any good sites for PC game reviews, I mean subjective and rational reviews rather than obvious bias's like Gametrailers has?

Most game sites now get paid for decent scores by the publishers so there's not much point in them now other than "reading between the lines" for bugs or poor gameplay comments, like in the EuroGamer review of MW2 when the single player was pretty much slated for it's short length yet it still got 9.5/10.

I use Gamespot. As said above, I don't really watch it for their game ratings, just what's said in the review and snippets of gameplay footage. I just enjoy watching/reading Gamespot reviews, but I also use GameTrailers occasionally.

I have lost a lot of faith in game reviews. As above, giving a game which lasts 5 hours a 9.5 is just ridiculous. Not everyone plays multiplayer, I sure can't be bothered. I'm so glad I didn't pay £35 for a 5 hour title now :)
I find all the hyped up games just get lost in hysteria, I haven't played a game that took my breath away since Unreal Tournament, and PlayStation games before it. The big titles nearly ALWAYS get a good review simply because of their insane production values, doesn't matter that it's boring or uninstalled by the majority after 1 week. ;)

I think game spot is pretty good most the time, but wouldn't dream of buying something just because they said it was good. A combination of game spot, metacritic and this forum are the best option.

I tend to click on gamespot, occasionally gametrailers. I like the gamespot reviews, well executed. I usually wait before buying most games ,or most tech for that matter. I'll look at the scores the games get, peoples opinions, video reviews until I feel its worth the cash or gamble.
