Just wondering, have been out of the pc scene for a while, is it yet possible to make a 'pc' games console from something like a shuttle and use it on a hd tv without compromises?

what os would you use, could you run sound thro the tv, what connectivity vga/dvi is component possible from any gfx card??

Most modern flat screen tv's have a VGA or DVI input on them these days, and it should work with all of the gaming graphics cards, as ones from the last couple of years should support the resolutions. Some cards also support S-Video, which is another option if you have an older TV with none of the above.

PK!

It definately is possible ;)

Depending on what games you've got your eye on, the native resolution of your television and what grade of eye candy you like to see - then budgets may vary of course.

Generally speaking most TV's sound capabilities is pretty poor anyway, so it may be worth looking at some decent speakers.

I'd personally just hook it up via DVI or VGA, but you can get DVI to component cables. They came as standard with my 8800GTX actually.
