Pc games constantly crashing

can anyone help me shed any light on my woes

My computer crashes on every game i try except Counter strike source, wheather it is on steam or from the dvd they crash

i have checked temps all kinds of drivers etc nothing seems to work

the games will play for a few mins then they stutter sound loops then lock up having to ctrl+alt+del to get back to desktop

system spec is : e6600 @ 3,2 , 4 gig memory , gtx 260

the system doesnt crash doing anything else except games

GPU too hot, CPU too hot, Windows out of date, Drivers out of date, BIOS out of date?

A small overclock but nevertheless (and bearing in mind your RAM is running clocked too) is the overclock stable?

Return hardware to stock, try again.

I have returned to stock it still keeps crashing, like i said the temps are fine ive tried all diff drivers , what do you mean windows out of date? im running vista 64

Download and run memtest86 to rule out RAM problems. You need to burn it to CD then boot from that.
