But will it be finished, or delayed by another three/four years? STALKER does look awesome, but will they ever finish it, and will they keep their original aim - to make it as freeform as is possible, rather than making it linear. A recent STALKER test for the guys at PCGamer were indicating a much more linear approach than previously thought. :(

and u forgot brothers in arms hells highway, fingers and toes crossed it wont be like road to hill 30 or earned in blood...........

What was wrong with BiA: rth30? I won the game in a PCG compo, and it was awesome! I was only able to play it at my friends house, though, as my PC was too rubbish to play it.

I think some people were left disappointed by the repetitive gameplay (pin and flank) which had promised so much more prior to release. The sense of realism was also lifted somewhat when you teammates who had been blown apart in one mission suddenly came back to life in the next cutscene/mission.

I think it was fairly ambitious and tried to offer something vaguely new, but the whole experience pales in comparison to the likes of Call of Duty.

It's like HL2.. we got a release date, and it was put back time and again, I gave up waiting and bought it when i could be bothered to. Really looking forward to STALKER and UT2007, but whether stalker will show is another matter ;)

Do you reckon C&C3 will be worth:

a: upgrading your hardware for and

b: Being as involving and addictive as RA2 - and not pretty sucky like Generals

Alan Wake - I can't wait for this game looks good and the story line seems quite good as it stands now. I don't know if this will work with the Xbox 360 but time will tell. If its all DX9 then no doubt ill buy it for the pc

a) I doubt it - very few games on their own are worth upgrading your hardware for. Apart from maybe Doom I'm struggling to think of any.

b) Impossible to say at this stage. I'd imagine it will be not quite as involving but then I prefer the Red Alert 'environment'.

Looks like there's plenty of good games on the horizon, but I said the same last year when someone linked the gamespot upcoming games of 2006 post.

The AI ;) was one of the problems and how it was the same thing over and over, suppress flank....

I'm pretty sure C&C3 runs on the Sage engine used by Generals and BFME. Unless EA reach a new low with sloppy coding you probably wont have to upgrade.
