PC gaming compared to console gaming

As long as you're not using it for FPS games, yes :p Using it for FPS games online will get you killed over and over again. And mentioning it in the forums won't do you much good either ;)

You can use an actual PS3 pad on the PC with a little faff.

How about over bluetooth? Is setting that up pain free/possible on Windows 7 64 bit yet?

The PS3 has seen more use for media playback than gaming!

Same for me, I mostly use my PS3 for PS3 Media Server streaming from my media server. I was actually going to get a small PC for under my TV for this very purpose, but there's no point now since the PS3's so good at it.

I came to pc from consoles and while a keyboard and mouse are a lot better, they dont half take some getting used to,

I was getting bummed on battlefield 2 left right and centre it I found the force lol

when i started pc gaming i instanly started pwning it was so natural, i can't play fps on console as the controller accidentally flies across the room (dam poltergeist) i'm so used to getting 4 kills to 1 death, i hate losing even if i'm winning it's not enough so i stick to pc, i don't get angry on the pc for some reason.

Thats wierd that, Our las said the same thing about me lol
I used to go balistic on the xbox but it is a lot more chilled out on the pc for some reason, even the same games...

wierd

i wouldn't be good in a competition i'd end up launching my controller at anyone who killed me and win by default cause they would all be in hospital.:)
oh and i'm not the violent type, the consoles turn me into a beast.

I think the headset and just xbox live in general did it for me,
theres always some little ***** internet hard man on shouting the odds,

Am getting wound up just thinking about it,

little doyles haha

The only ever time a console is better than a PC is if you want to play a fighting, sports or platform game, everything else on PC is 10x better

It looked good for a moment when SF4 and BlazBlue got release for the PC, but nothing since :(

ill put this the way i view it. I much preffer pc gaming but its more annoying, u know whn u get a game on a console that it will work without a fuss another story on the pc. Console games i find are more stable i have more pc crashes than console. I preffer pc as u can do more with a game like modding and a choice of contollers/mouse/keyboard/etc.

Hi, im new to PC gaming, is there much difference to be seen playing the same game on a PC and PS3?

You just can't justify the cost. Decent gaming rigs are like £1,000 to start, and you have to upgrade them every so often, splashing out £200, £300 on graphics cards.

I hope this is sarcasm

My gaming rig cost me around £600 ( That is including 1920x1080 monitor, peripherals and OS ) and runs every single game, excluding Metro 2033 and Crysis, at max settings.

Biggest let down for me with consoles is the use of a controller. I'd guess I get used to it if I persisted long enough but after a while I always go back to the PC.

Dunno about you, but I have no problem justifying the cost. For what I get out of it, it's well worth the cash.
