What settings would best replicate consoles for gaming:
19inch monitor 1280 x 1024
HD 4850 @ Stock
E7200 @ 3.4GHZ
2GB 800mhz geil black dragon

I dont know exactly what to search but i hear things like consoles run at 1024 x 768 res and have 2x aa etc or none so i want to replicate this on my PC and see my performance
 
no consoles dont have aa, also there is a thread on here that states the res that some of the latest xbox360/ps3 games run at, just have a look around, was in a discussion about pcs being better that consoles.
 
ye thats why i brought this thread up as i had seen it briefly mentioned but i had not seen a definate response like ye they run at 1024 x 768 and this is considered high def etc
 
Some do run at 720p and very few run at 1080p (the only ones I can think of for this are some PSN/live arcade titles and wipeout HD). Some console games also have AA but if they do it only seems to be x2.
 
generally speaking, consoles games (especially the 360) run at pretty low resolutions compared to todays PC standards. Its pretty rare to find a 360 game that runs at a resolution higher than 1280x720
