Hows the best way to game from the comfort of the sofa, i could use a controler but that seems to defeat the point of pc gamoing as its designed for a mouse and keybord. my sofa is no where near a coffee table or any other furniture and even if it was i dont think it would be very comfortable. Also what perifials would you recomend fir this kind of set up?

Oddly, the xbox 360 controller for windows is one of the better purchases I've done for my PC in recent years. Been playing the force unleashed 1 from the comfort of my bed with that controller and have loved every minute of it. If you wanna try and use a keyboard and mouse across the room whilst being comfy, probably best getting a good solid flat surface to either go over the arms of your chair or something that has self supporting legs depending on the seating.

What kind of sofa do you have? I used to do a bit of gaming on a leather sofa and the mouse worked surprisingly well on the surface of it.
Just rested a keyboard on my lap much like you would with a laptop

its man made leather look, would probably be good for mouse thoiugh. unfortinatly i have the left side of the sofa do to how the room is set up (puts me into the centre of the room for surround sound) though might be able to find some kind of arm rest thing somewhere:D

get a recling single sofa infront of your desk...mouse pad goes on one arm rest and the keyboard across your lap and other arm rest.

I use a laptop tray and wireless mouse and keyboard, awesome setup when I'm not at my desk and feel like a bit of laid back gaming.

This is what I am doing right this second from my bed. Having a trackball helps a lot as the surface doesn't matter. Also a 360 controller is a good purchase for gaming from the sofa but really if you want to be playing FPS or online then you should be sat up at a desk anyway.

I'd of loved a lay-z-boy, but there is definatly no room:(
I wanna play it on my 92" projector:D which is why im on the sofa

If you must use wireless mouse+kb make sure its Bluetooth otherwise be prepared for loss of input signal unless your sitting right ontop the wireless receiver! For most PC games 360 wireless controller is best up to 4M.

I concur with this. Bought a wireless pc adapter for my spare 360 controller and it works wonderfully on the PC.
