I would like to know if I can play Fallout 4 on the Microsoft Surface Pro. I've found the requirements for Fallout 4 but I'm having trouble with the graphics card in particular and knowing if the one I'll be buying is equivalent.

Here are the Fallout 4 min requirements:

Operating system:
Windows 7/8/10 (64-bit OS required)
Processor: Intel Core i5-2300 2.8GHz / AMD Phenom II X4 945 3.0GHz or equivalent
Memory: 8 GB RAM
Hard disk space: 30 GB free HDD space
Video: NVIDIA GTX 550 Ti 2GB / AMD Radeon HD 7870 2GB or equivalent

Recommended specs:
an Intel Core i7 4790 3.6GHz / AMD FX-9590 4.7GHz or equivalent processor

and...

NVIDIA GTX 780 3GB / AMD Radeon R9 290X 4GB or equivalent graphics card.

I would like new Microsoft Surface Book 2 which has:
Windows 10 Pro Creators Update 64-bit 256GB SSD
8th Gen Intel Core i7-8650U (quad-core) with up to 4.20 GHz Max Turbo (so processor is OK I think)
8GB RAM 1866Mhz LPDDR3 (RAM is also OK)
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 discrete GPU w/2GB GDDR5 graphics memory

The main problem I'm having is comparing the graphics specifications. I have gone through many different websites and it's confusing me. Will the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 discrete GPU w/2GB GDDR5 graphics memory meet the minimum requirements?

Sorry if I am a pain. I don't know much about this stuff. I need a laptop for education purposes and I have a good budget so decided to get one for gaming too (and I miss playing Fallout).

OK, so it could play Fallout 4 but what happens after xx minutes of gameplay? Won't it get hot and start throttling and FPS will drop? I dunno, I've not got one but the Macbooks do it and this device is very similar.
