Hi guys...
Been several years out of the PC gaming side of things.
Wondering if some can help or has experience with 3D gaming on PCs?
With the new ATI cards arriving I am considering a PC for this year to use with a very high end racing cockpit, a 3 year d.i.y project. Games like C.A.R.S and RFACTOR 2 are likely to appeal to me along with other racing titles.
The main requirement is a system that will support triple 720p
So a desktop 3840 x 720 but also run the latest games in 3D with good framerates. Of course FPS could be played to but primarily my interest is with racing games. I do like the idea of a 7970 or if needed a 7990 single card option to run all screens. However I have no idea if Nvidia have a better solution or what motherboard, cpu, ram would be advised being out of this for so long.
An overclocked setup but stable around 4.5GHz seems good spec and value but I am open to suggestions regards which "Graphics Options" are best.
I am using triple Optoma GT750 3D Projectors (available these days for £550 so great value) These are Nvidia 3D vision ready also but unsure if thats my best option as Ive read ATI are finally beginning to do more regards 3D multiscreen support. Their will be 3x 55"-60" screens used in the typical canted formation for a large scale gaming experience.
Would appreciate any feedback or recommendations.
