PC Gaming speakers

Can somebody help spec me some decent speakers for my rig? I will mostly use them for gaming and music. Torn between 2.1 and 5.1 speakers. I will watch DVD's on my TV downstairs through my Pioneer amp! Any suggestions?

I can heavily recommend the Aego M 2.1's. Excellent speakers.

Thinking of going for these! not too fussed for 5.1 got excellent reviews!
