.... is alive and kicking and freaking awesome!!!!

Haha! Sorry but after reading the depressing threads this week about how PC gaming is dying blah blah blah blah I thought I would try and lift the mood. :D

I think it is neither dying or freaking awesome at the moment, it's in a state of not badness, hopefully E3 and some Portal 2 and *ahem* Episode 3 news will change that :)

Well I am testing wow cataclysm and extremely enjoying BC2. And not too long ago I built the PC in my sig. So I think it's freaking awesome. And I ******* love it!! :D

I think its in its Mid-Phase mode atm although it seems that more & more people are getting lazy and going for consoles.

I did this just last week. Decided to spend some time on the PS3. Played some MW1 and even purchased Red Dead Redemption. However one weak later here I am back on the PC. Playing MW1 :) and as for Red Dead Redemption. Well I enjoyed what I played but it's just inspired me back to GTA IV on the PC.

The general feeling amongst lots is that you can't beat laying back in the living room on the sofa. For me I like to get away for gaming sessions and as much as I love my sofa you just can't beat headphones and privacy. If it's a relaxed game such as Defence Grid I'll listen to podcasts while I play and if it's a shooter I'll have the audio blasting my ears. I just can't get that feeling on the console without annoying everyone in the house.

So as long as I'm still married :) my Sofa gaming sessions will be confided to the days the wife goes out shopping. No way I'm allowed to take over the main TV during the evenings.

I think that figure would be much less if Steam didn't default into starting up as a tray icon when Windows starts. I've got some friends from work in my friends list who are online most of the time but it turns out it just means their PC is on. One of them hasn't played a game for 2 years.
