PC HAVING ISSUES BUILDING

Hi all,

So starting to build my new pc.
So straight off the bat, I notice that my case (cooler master master box 5 midi tower case - White) has no standoffs in the box, literally just a case with two built in stand offs but that's all? Is this correct?

Next was my motherboard (GIGABYTE Z170-Gaming K3 INTEL Z170 (socket 1151) DDR4 ATX MOTHERBOARD). Obviously this was a little loose considering there was only two standoffs but I also noticed there is no screws supplied to screw into the standoffs?

Excuse me, as this is my second build and my first was a long long time ago. I may be being dumb so go easy on me!

Could someone please help as I need to get this running asap!

Thank you!!:)

Hi,
I wouldn't even try to build it with 2 standoffs.
If you never got any with your case or new mobo you should have.
I would check all components for the build and check what you need. Contact the supplier as you should get enough to build the system.
Standoffs and screws will only be a couple of quid if you want to buy some.
Good luck with the build and don't forget to post a few pics for the forum.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply.

Supplier was Overclockers, will all standoffs and screws fit the motherboard and case? I've checked the boxes they came in multiple times over?

Should I call up Overclockers and ask them to send them?

Thanks!

Hi,
Very surprised to here none were included.
I have ordered a few mobos and cases from here and always had a few in the box (especially the mobos).
Post in customer service section or call. I'm sure the staff will sort you out.
It's been a while since my last build so I'm not sure if standoffs and screws are universal or not.

I wouldn't use less than 6 standoffs generally speaking.
Speak to overclockers, generally the case should come with a bag of stand offs, more than you'll need.. but they are dead cheap, they'll probably just send you some.

Or if in a rush, just buy some/if you have mate's who have self built they probably have a bunch or spare ones.

Nope none supplied sadly, I've shaked the case just in case they're hidden but nothing!! I'm going to write in their customer service forum to get a response.

Any ideas how long it usually takes to get a reply?

Thanks

Nope, totally varied depending on how much they have on. I've had a response after 2 days before, and I've had a response after 10 minutes before.

So..I found them.

Think I took them out the box and mistakes them for any set of screws I had lying around with no standoffs! Told you I was just being dumb!

Thanks for all your help! I'll post some pics when it's all built with all parts!!:D:D
