PC having trouble booting

I was watching a video in windows media player, and after a while I was treated to a 'delayed write failure' message of some sort. My pc then locked up, so I rebooted it and now it gets through two rounds of the loading bar of the windows xp logo and restarts in an infinate loop :x. Any ideas?

pretty sure your HDD is culprit, prob has bad sectors, time for a new one and try n save as much data off current one as you can

It's either bad sectors as mentioned above or you have a USB connected peripheral still in the machine. Remove all USB connections and give it another go. If not, try booting in safe mode and performing a dskchk via command prompt.
