Pc help required

I realise this probably isn't a GD thread but was unsure of the exact forum to put it in so apologies in advance.

I was browsing the internet yesterday (not sure if this is relevant or not). My screen went blank for a while, then a warning screen came up, not sure what it said but it was something about failure, I realise now that I should've paid more attention! and then all the graphics went strange and kinda blocky and basic (poor resolution?).

Anyway, I tried re installing my graphics driver but that made no difference. Has my graphics card went or what?

No, no it wouldnt. His problem had nothing to do with BSODs.

Get this moved to the graphics card forum, or the general forum. You'll get help there.

I don't think there was a blue screen. And my system seems fine apart from the really poor resolution. Hmmm

Sounds from the information given that your graphics card has decided to die a little inside. Maybe try looking inside the computer. If the card is covered in dust and stuff then chances are, that given the recent weather, it could have got a little too hot and not enough air. This happened to mine a few years back and I had to replace.

Is it permanently stuck in this resolution? Can you change it at all? Have you tried running a game to see how it behaves?

Next time , try not to mindlessly click "ok" or "yes" or "END NOW"

I don't own any games, pc is just for internet browsing, email and downloading stuff. PC has been switched off for a week while I've been on holiday and the weather has been crap since i got back.

I think the graphics card is rather old and not very good though.

And yes I very much realise I shouldn't have clicked on whatever it was i clicked on
