PC hitching in every game?!

Hey guys, bit of a random one here, but about 3 months ago my pc started hitching every 10 minutes or so in every game for a few seconds at a time. I haven't asked before as it's not been a huge deal but now it really is doing my head in as I know it shouldn't be doing it. Where should I start to try and diagnose the problem?

What's your complete spec?

How full is your HDD with the games on?

Also, what is your CPU activity/memory/HDD activity at idle?

GFX and CPU temps under load too?

Monitor RAM usage, CPU/GPU temps etc for a start.

Sorry guys I was on my feet all day at EGX yesterday and crashed soon after writing this post. Stupid question, but I cant remember the best command prompt to grab my specs for you?!

You can use CPU-z - to gather information about your motherboard, CPU, memory and GPU.

Core Temp - to monitor your CPU temps under load.

Afterburner - to monitor your GPU temps under load.

Would be handy to know make/model of PSU and age too.

File explorer will list your SSD/HDDs

A quick check is when it goes slow go straight into task manager to see what is using cpu. Also when it goes slow is the hard drive going crazy.
