relocated my main pc into a cupboard, its empty and measured approx 3 feet by 6 feet by 18 inches, just sat my case in the cupbouard and shut the door theres not much in the way of ventialtion is my opty going to go belly up sometime soon?

thoughts please guys

Is your Opteron overclocked? If so I'd take it back down to stock before placing it in the cupboard and depending on the temperatures even think about a bit of an underclock. Is there anything you can do to aid the venting of heat e.g. maybe put vents/blow holes in the cupboard door or similar?

No offense, but PC's just AREN'T meant to be put in confined spaces, (unless they are phase or water, even then they need SOME air) and personally I wouldn't risk it, your CPU, GPU, HDD's, will all run hotter and shorten their working life... Simple kids: Just say no!

I would recommend trying to put an exhaust fan in the top of cupboard if you can.
Opterons do tend to run a fair bit cooler than most other CPUs I've had but with GFX cards etc running hotter these days that advantage is lost.
But as fobose said why not try it for a while and monitor your temps.
