mostly use my lappy so decided to give me bro me pc,

it was ok a week or so ago, so i started removing things he wasnt getting (firewire, bluetooth dongle and my secondard HD), as there was a bit if ***** on the pc, i thought i'd do a full fresh reinstall of windows, pressed the power button......................................nothing, ive since removed al cards, HD's etc, removed and blew the dust off the mobo, built it back up ensuring all componants were correctly seated, but its still the same.

the power light on the mobo is on, so i know its getting power, when i press the power button the cpu fan spins for a split second then stops

anyone offer any advice?

I'd not be so sure that one minute would do it.

Find the motherboard manual (will be available from the manufacturers website), and find the proper jumper to do it.

You are supposed to take the battery out, move the jumper one pin across, leave it for a minute, then move the jumper back and put the battery back in.

took the battery out, stil the sodding same

it is like 8 yebackar old but still did the job till........................................well, today as it was ok the last time i tried it a couple of days
