Intel i5 4690k
2x Corsair vengeance 4GB
GTX 580 3GB
Antec 300 case

Issues first started appearing before summer whenever I had my old build which consisted of the same specs apart from the mobo, PSU and processor. The system had been running fine for years and then one day the PC shut down and wouldn't turn on. After replacing the PSU, the gfx card was also not working and I assume the PSU had fried the gfx card so I replaced that too. Things worked fine for a while then the PC would only turn on sometimes. This evebtually led to the PC not working at all so I figured out that the PSU was the issue and so I RMA'd it and the PC worked again.

However, with the new PSU installed I would get a no input error on the monitor when trying to boot the PC. I tried 4 different graphics cards and still nothing. Since the PSU had just been RMA'd I figured it could only be either the ram, the CPU or the mobo. I had wanted to replace the CPU and mobo anyway as my old system was amd and was a bit out of date so I bought the Asus z79-k and the Intel 4690k.

With the new mobo and cpu, the PC booted fine but when I moved the PC it would turn off. I also tested running s game and it would turn off whenever I played a game and told me that a power surge had been detected. However it ran fine outside of games and I really needed it for university work so I still used it. It shut down after a few hours however and now won't turn back on. The green light on the mobo is on. The PC is back at home and I'm at university so I will be telling my dad to try any solutions that you guys have as I'm only home at the weekends

Any suggestion as to how I can fix it would be appreciated as I am a student doing a computing degree and I really need the computer and also have limited funds

Thanks
