Pc issues after win 7 to 10

I have a list of annoyances, mostly since upgrading to win 10

Pc is quite old

4770k
Gigabyte z87-oc
1070
Mx100 512 ssd
Believe Psu is 1000w seasonic platinum

Issues since upgrade to 10

1) First boot takes ages - the Windows logo on black screen after post can take 1-2 mins to get to login

2) First boot network card has an i217-v driver error which fixes on restart

Any help with these? Very annoying

How do you do this without losing the original key?

Do you have a Microsoft account? Have you linked your license key? Note you don't have to keep logging in with a Microsoft account.

Having the key linked to a Microsoft account will make activation automatic.

On PCs with BIOS activation (mainly Windows 8 Dells) I've found that Windows 10 activated automatically. No need to enter a key at all.

OP should be safe now using that command, will pull the key no problem.

Thanks guys. I'll be doing a fresh install long as I have a key. I'll also jot it down and stick it on back of my monitor!

That's why it's best to clean install, always with no data left and fully formatted.

The key is "in" mobo i did a clean instal on a laptop two days ago and didnt need a key

Depends how old the motherboard is.

Update.

This is fixed (I think) along with hardware issues

Changing the bios switch to different bios (from backup) seems to have fixed the network adapter issue!

It also boots at rapid speed as it should for an SSD.

I was a day away from a full OS refresh, to factory settings. And was dreading it!
