Hi About 2 weeks ago i shut down my pc using the usual windows 10 power off option and when the computer was just about to fully turn off it starting flickering on and off very rapidly.

I managed to fix but taking everything but the cpu and fan of the motherboard, and first tripped the psu to start on its own to make sure it wasn't that, then i put the motherboard 24pin power supply back in plus my mother board has an extra 6pin point near the cpu and i was getting the same but not as rapid.

I left it for a while and came back to it and suddenly it started so i attached a speaker to it and it beeped missing ram so i attached the ram and it started fine, so attached the rest and it was working fine until last night where it started the same thing again so i went through the same process this morning and got it working again.

Seems to work ok then just randomly it stops working. this is second hand PC i bought back in February due to my laptop dying.

My set up is:

I5 - 4460 with stock fan
motherboard: Asus h81-gamer
ram: g-skill 4gb 1600mhz ram x2 sticks
palit gtx 960
samsung 850 120gb SSd
2x 1tb HDD
corsair cx 430 power supply
case: corsair 780T

plugged into it is a corsair k70 rgb, cat8 mouse, 7 post usb hub, speakers, and three monitors at 1080p.

wondering if anyone might have any clue as to what might wrong?

Could be lots of things.
Despite of quality image that Corsair PSU is standard cheap PSU made from cheap parts so it could be failing.
Motherboard could be failing.
RAM could be failing.

Besides if possible trying with other PSU I would start by using minimum parts:
One DIMM, only operating system SSD.

Have you checked if Event Viewer shows any errors for time of problems?

Try to look for those timed when problems happen.
Windows Logs > System
(+possibly Applications)

Also if there's some certain error constantly that could give hints.

i've had a look through and cant find anything around the times of the errors, although when i look in the summary page events it looks like every time i shut down i get a critical error from source kernel-power and the message states - The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly
