Looking for some advice please as I’m at a loss with what to do. About a week ago my pc started running extremely slow & laggy especially when using the taskbar or going into settings then when the lag got to much for the pc to handle it would crash and display a BSOD WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR, it also displays machine check exception at times. I’ve checked absolutely everything and everything seems fine. My ram is fine, HDD is fine, I did all the necessary tests, checked all my drivers, reinstalled windows and did a system reset, cleaned out my fans. My pc was working fine a few weeks ago, the only thing that changed was I got a new wireless mouse a few weeks before but surely that can’t cause this? I have plenty of space & my ram has 16GB. My pc is updated to all the best specs for it.
i really don’t want to lose this pc as I have so many memories on it. I’m barely able to start it anymore before it displays BSOD with that error code. I can’t even access settings as it lags really bad. Any advice please?
Ps. There is no dump files being generated so unfortunately I cannot provide them.

A slow and laggy taskbar and settings followed by a BSOD, I would usually say something like:
1. broken SSD and/or corrupted install
2. faulty driver
3. overheating

I think there was a windows update not long ago that was causing BSOD in some systems, it might be worth trying the fix:

Wireless mouse - seems.. unlikely, did you have to install any manufacturer software with it?

If your priority is getting off your old data, you may be able to install the SSD/HDD in another machine and copy it off.

When you were reinstalling Windows, did it complete this install entirely in one run (I mean without lag, crashes and BSODs)? If it did, this could suggest something about what's happening (like maybe the faulty device is not loaded at this point).

People really need to start backing up 'important memories' on another device/external hard drive/cloud storage, of they're that important you shouldn't be relying on just one device.... even if it isn't the hard drive this time, although that's where I'm edging, a hard drive/ssd can fail at any time and sometimes without notice.

If you have access to another desktop, take the drive out and backup the data (you may need a usb caddy), then back it up again somewhere else as a second backup (cloud, external drive, optical disks....)... If no access you may be able to use an external usb drive between crashes (not ideal)

After that I'd start trouble shooting, my first thoughts are obviously uninstall the mouse drivers and thermals, albeit unlikely the cause imo. Then personally I'd go for a complete wipe and re-install of the pc (this would lose the 'important memories' hence the need to back them up), it sounds like you have the same OS install (reset doesn't really 'fix' issues imo) as the day you bought/built the pc and it's often quicker to just start from scratch.
