PC lags...

My PC seems to lag through so many things I try and do. I have ran spyware software, anti-virus software etc. and updated software and it hasn't helped.

All games I play, I get a random spike of lag through it. It will last 3-5 secs and go back to normal and then do it again. Also when I watch something everything goes out of sync.

Any suggestions please?

I have never used eventviewer before and there seems to be a lot in there. What am I looking for exactly?

The PLFlash DeviceIoControl Service service failed to start due to the following error:
The system cannot find the file specified - EventID 7000

The server {E10F6C3A-F1AE-4ADC-AA9D-2FE65525666E} did not register with DCOM within the required timeout - 10010

Those two seem to appear quite a lot.

I have 4gb but only 3gb is usable as I have windows 7 32 bit installed. Does the 64 bit version work better now with drivers and usb stuff?

Windows usually has it scheduled to defragment so it gets done regularly. I don't have too many apps installed as I try and keep it tidy.

I have about 350gb left on my windows hard drive, about 300gb out of 1500gb on another and 680gb out of 1000gb on the last one.

An update on things.. nothing else is happening in the event manager now but still getting some slow downs. When I pause something im watching and then start it again, it runs as if its in slow motion :confused:
