Hi guys,

I have a NZXT Phantom case (full tower) which has 6 fans in it, two of which at the top are Blue LED's. Now I am definitely considering cutting the side panel out where the side fan goes and putting in some perspex. I have seen others and it does look good, plus the mounts look ugly in the dark.

Now my concern is that it is not bright enough within the case, what lighting would you guys recommend as I have had a look around and found NZXT lighting with a back panel which sounds good but don't know what is best to do??

Thankyou,
Tom

LED strips usually give good results and are low power, low heat and have less wires to worry about than CCFLs.

Depends which you buy. Some are Molex powered , some just have wires and you make the connections yourself. The expensive ones are modular and connect together.

CCFL are cold cathode fluorescent lamps similar to those used in TVs before they started using LEDs in backlights and stuff. They require additional electronics to boost the voltage or frequency or something ( forget which ) as I've no actual interest in them.

Thankyou for your wisdom, so what strips would you recommend as there are many. The Alchemy Premium LED's look good but are expensive. Also I am looking for some blue ones. :)

Yeh I had a look at those LED's, they are connected to the back panel aren't they?
Shame they are Out of Stock for the Blue LED's, they also have no ETA. :(
