I have all the latest Intel drivers and have run HDD tune pro replaced a suspect drive but i am still getting the errors.

The device, \Device\Ide\iaStor0, did not respond within the timeout period.

Multiple hours spent on trying to fix this problem dating back to the release of Windows Vista and Link Power state management?!!? WTF??

I have tried disabling this LPM - already was..
I have replaced a suspect bad HD, now appears that it wasn't the drive.
I have flashed my DVDROM's firmware to the latest.

Please can anyone advise me how i can fix this ?? why am i still having this problem in Windows 7? When the issue was reported and supposedly fixed?

Can i turn of LPM in the bios im sick of freezing up mid game randomly

If someone can throw some light on this or in English tell me what is going on im all googled out and sick of 4 year old solutions for an ancient, that only i seem to have gotten, issue.
