Hey all, sorry I haven't posted in a long long time, been very busy with school and all that :)

I've got a Sandybridge based Z77 build, and more recently it's started playing up somewhat. At random (frequent) intervals the PC will just 'locks up'; freezing the mouse and keyboard, but leaving the display active. After locking up the display will go to sleep and I will have to move the mouse to get it working again. I also hear the device disconnect sound at this point. It can be one or the other at different times but more recently it's been both symptoms together. My PC has also been known to lock up for a few seconds and release a beep after. So far searching the internet has been no luck.

My question is do these symptoms sound familiar to anyone? If so do you know what it might be?

Is it overclocked? If it is have you tried it at stock settings?

Do the event logs show anything of interest?

What are the specs of the PC?

It's an i3, so nope no overclocking.

In terms of events I'm getting a Nvidia OpenGL 'Out of Memory Warning', a WinRing0_1_2_0 Startup Failure Error, a lot of 'Driver Detected an Internal Error in its Data Structures' (sptd), plus a whole load of others relating to driver errors and such.

My specs are as follows:

i3-2120
Intel DZ77GA-70K
TeamGroup Elite 8GB
MSI GTX 670 P.E.
Corsair CX600M

Would anybody else be able to assist me on this? It's really making my pc near-unusable now. I've also found that all some usb devices cut out as it does this.

Okay well I've updated the BIOS and the USB 3.0 drivers, it seems to be a lot more stable and I haven't had this problem since applying the updates. I think it's fixed, thanks for your suggestions :)

If the problem re-occurs then I'll let you all know again :)
