PC locking up

Hi all

My PC is locking randomly - I thought it was Vista, so I formatted and went back to XP.

However it's still locking up.

How can I find out what's causing it?

I've run memtest for 6hours without any errors - I'm think CPU - how can I test my CPU to see if this is causing the random lockups?

Maybe default back to your stock settings and see if it locks up still?

go to google and search for 'cpu burn-in' basically its a program stresses the processor. If anything is going to make it crash then this will.

Motherboards chipset drivers up to date?

Yes, as stated gone back to XP.
