we put it down to a graphics card error we found the mini dmp files the card is r290 was brought from scan ! sent back for rma due to this error few months ago scan sent it back and said there is nothing wrong with the card ! where do we stand with this any help from the ocuk guys as we what to do next as scans customer support is **** !

Did you try another graphics card to prove it was the card itself or at least another PCI-EXPRESS port?

What was in the dmp files to make you think it was the graphics card?

We're yet to try another card maybe we should try it , I'm not at the machine now but is said something like graphics driver page error I will find out exactly what it said when I'm home this afternoon cheers guys :)

we put it down to a graphics card error we found the mini dmp files the card is r290 was brought from SCAM ! sent back for rma due to this error few months ago scan sent it back and said there is nothing wrong with the card ! where do we stand with this any help from the ocuk guys as we what to do next as SCAMS customer support is **** !

Oh those words bring back bad memories of SCAM.

Every thing is at stock speeds nothing over clocked , really don't know where he stands with this tho surely if you send something back for rma they can't send you it back saying there is nothing wrong ?

Which revision of motherboard is it ? Rev.2 only officially supports that CPU, altough there are reports to launch it @ other revisions of motherboard (not stated, for how long, lol).
And Asus top motherboard should be strictly equipped with RAM from QVL. Is it that case ?

maybe try a GPU stress test program and see if you can get it to blue screen as if its gpu related it may cause the issue\help you replicate it.

I recently sent back a ssd to scam and they confirmed the fault I sent it to them with on the same day they received it

pull out 8gb of ram and see if it still locks up with only 8gb installed,if not you need more cpu northbridge voltage with 16gb if it does then it could be gpu/driver or psu related idk

Long shot but could be a corrupt adobe flash player!

I had this issue two weeks ago, computer would lock up and needed to be turned off at the switch and back on. And if it didn't lock up the graphics driver would occasionally fail.

So uninstalled adobe flash, reinstalled previous version, and everything has been fine since. Very weird.

As I said, absolute long shot if the above doesn't work.

We've true the ram it's not that , we also thought it was bad sector on the hdd but that's all good thanks for your help guys will try the other things mentioned and report back cheers
