Does anyone else think that Custom PC may have finally hit the self destruction button this month? Featured articles on "What Chair?" and "The Porn Industry" seems to be scraping the barrel a bit and completely unrelated subjects. I have now cancelled my subscription.

Looking at the shelves I was wondering what you reading preferences were. I know that a lot of you may prefer online content, but for me I enjoy having a read when on the train rather than relying on the internet.

PC Plus and PC Format look ok, I've never taken the later very seriously though..

I use to have a CustomPC sub a while ago, and to be honest I haven't bought a PC related mag for quite sometime.

If you wait long enough the same reviews found in CustomPC find their way to Bit-Tech anyways.

To be fair, it is the first time they do a review on chairs. I know it's not really PC hardware, but in a way it is just as important as monitors or speakers, as it is something that people would spend extensive period of time on as well.

But I think the games reviews are not really neccessary...I'd rather they space those pages on introducing some useful free software that can help improve the performance of PCs.

Unfortunately, I find most PC magazines a bit too expensive, especially considering the vast array of online content available such as how-to's and editorials.

I must admit that I bought Micro Mart for about a year and a half and saved a few issues with plans to make an arcade machine etc. As it is a weekly title the amount of recycling built up quite quickly and I just felt guilty about spending the money only to see my self stick in the recycling bin :(

i signed up for custom pc when it was 3 issues for a quid. even though id been buying for a while on and off. and the chairs magazine was worthless in my opinon. id much have preferred an article about a new GPU or something.

ill probably cancel my sub and then buy a mag when it has a decent article in it.

I enjoy having a subscription to custompc, and I will definitely be keeping it :p although I do like PC Format too :)

My PC mag of choice these days is Micro Mart. I usually buy a copy every Friday, so I can read it during my driving break when I'm out on my round.

I've done the Custom PC £1 for 3 issues several times now, just cancel the direct debit after the £1 has gone. Done this with PC Format, PC Pro too.

PC Zone, never bettered never replaced :(

Custom PC is only one really but I hate it when the main review is padded out with pages and pages of performance graphs.

I keep contemplating Kindle magazine subscriptions but don't know if they are useable yet on a standard (non-DX) Kindle.

PCFormat is my PC mag of choice. Better than PC Gamer is it actually features hardware reviews. I'm even switching my subscription from Fast Car to PCFormat. I love the mag, I download PC Plus and Windows magazine, Custom PC and PC Pro and PCFormat is definitely the best

I used to get Custom PC each month but a while ago it seemed to be going downhill and most of the stuff ends up on Bit Tech anyway. Mainly just read stuff on the internet now.

I'm one of those weird people who still likes the occasional paper format to read lol, ocassionally get an itch to buy a pc mag. and I'l browse the shelf to see if theres any that has any interesting articles, Last few months I've been buying PcFormat, even considering subscribing :-O lol.

I have to agree, PC Zone was just fantastic back in the 90's.

I kept buying it plus other magazines up to about 2004 and 2005. And just gave up after that with all the information readily at hand on line.
