PC - Mid Life Refit!

Hi All

PC's currently got an Intel C2D @ 2.4 GHz in an Abit AW9D Mobo

I'm looking to upgrade my CPU - could anyone recommend a Quad Core Intel chip that would be compatible with this board?

Additionally - Any recommendations for as quiet a PSU as possible? (700 Watts for QC and a 4870 with 4GB Ram and 4 HDDs?)

Can you afford to make the jump to I7? If so id recommend that!!!
