PC Monitor also good for PS3

Hi all,

I'm after a desktop monitor, preferably 27" 1440p which will also do the PS3/PS4 justice graphically. I have a Dell U2713HM and the PS3 picture looks pretty rubbish if I'm closer than 2 metres.

Would appreciate any info/recommendations!

Same here. That's a great monitor. What's so bad about it? Try and be specific. maybe it's the setup

You'll struggle to find any monitor that outputs 1440p to give a better picture for the PS3 than a native 1080p screen, the image has to be scaled up 1/3 which on modern screens will always show a fuzzy picture.

Might I be better off, from a console perspective, with something like the BenQ XL2420T?

It's a nice panel, with being IPS etc.

You have to remember that if you get a monitor you won't have any sound coming out of your PS3 unless your monitor has speakers. I had this problem and had to use a combination out outputs from the PS3 to get audio in feed to my hifi

my plan was to run a line from the monitor into the PC and get the sound to output through the speakers attached to it.
