hi all im thinking of buying a monitar for my xbox one and ps4 when they come out. i want one that is 47 inchs and with good Response Time. HDTV's are just not good for gaming due to high response time thanks to any replys you give me

Hmm, 47"? Is that a typo for 27", by any chance? Because I don't think there are any consumer grade computer monitors above 30", at least not for a "reasonable" price. But there are some HDTVs with reasonable input lag, which are good for gaming. And quite cheap, too.

Btw, with "response time" manufacturers/people usually mean "pixel response time". There shouldn't be that much of a difference when comparing TVs and monitors in that regard. But "input lag" is widely different. On TVs it's usually 32-60ms (but can be even more). Whereas on monitors it's usually 10-32ms (sometimes even lower).

In any case, here's a fairly recent thread with a similar agenda:

You won't find any mainstream desktop monitors anywhere near that size. 30" is about your limit and you will find they cost a lot more than a small Tv. For consoles etc an LCD would probably be more suitable anyway imo
