I'll keep it short..

PC is moved quite regularly (LANs), and I cannot always guarantee it is upright. I've never ventured into watercooling before so quite a basic question; how safe is it to have watercooling and move the PC often?

It's pretty safe but you would have to get rid of the bubbles in the loop after every time you move it around. I feel it would add too much weight to the PC and wouldn't want to carry it around unless it's SFF.

I move my PC all the time, hell to get rid of the bubbles when i first fill my custom loop i move it from side to side!

As long as you mind how you move the case it wont introduce bubbles. I use a 250mm tube reservoir from EK, the input to the reservoir has a 190mm tube inside the reservoir and the the output has a 50mm tube. Makes it literately impossible to get air from the tube reservoir back into the rest of the loop. I had them there at first just to circulate the Mayhems aurora coolant so there was no dead spots in the reservoir and it looked nice, now i have changed to a different coolant I still keep them because it stops hair going back to my loop whether i make my case go on its sides or upside down!

Here are the tubes im talking about (they come with most tube reservoirs these days): http://www.ekwb.com/shop/reservoirs-and-acc/reservoir-acc/1.html

Not that you need something like that to move your case around, just be mindful of the air in the reservoir and the output/inputs of it.
