Hi

I work from home and my work laptop is in the company domain and I VPN in to use their services etc.

However, at the same time I need to be in my workgroup at home so I can access printers, files stored on local PCs etc. Is it possible to be in both at the same time, and if so could someone please tell me how to do it?

Thanks :D

Nope. Trusts cannot be established between domains and workgroups, only between domains.

You should still be able to access services on your local LAN, you'll just need another level of authentication.

Could you elaborate a bit pls? i.e. I have a computer called study that has a printer hooked up to it I would like to use. Do I have to add the user of my work machine to the users on the study computer?

Thanks

Workgroups are fairly irrelevant - they don't exactly mean much. Other than keeping My Network Places looking nice, they don't really serve much of a purpose anymore.

You could add the user on your laptop to the pc you're trying to access, but if you know some valid credentials you'd probably get away with just hitting Start | Run and typiing \\computername. Might ask for username/password, chose 'remember password', job's a good 'un.
