PC no power

Hi everyone

Last night my pc would not start no power when I pushed the power button. I cleaned out all the dust made sure all the connections were ok it still would not start. Woke up today and the keyboard lights were on and the pc started no problems :confused:

I have noticed recently when the pc has shut down the keyboard lights keep flashing(Cap lock & Num lock) not to sure if that's a sign of a problem.Over the last two weeks the power button has failed to start on the first attempt thou the wires seem fine and the button still clicks so I think that is ok :confused:

Any Ideas anyone

Ok, I would remove the power switch connector and then reseat it into place see if that helps

What PSU do you have?
It looks very much like yours is failing

I have a ocz 700 watt psu about 18 months old.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but could it possibly be to do with his mobo?
I had a problem like this on my old computer except I don't remember noticing the KB lights flashing after power off. It just wouldn't turn on then after a while it would miraculously start working again, so I swapped the mobo and it never did it again.

Has your comp ever powered up but then locked at completely random stages in the start up process? Even as far in as logging in and locking up almost straight away?? Mine used to do that too and then eventually not turn on for a while. (A day or so)

Hi mate

I was hoping it wasn't the mobo thou it did cross my mind.

Once it starts up it hasn't locked up its normally ok.

I'd still keep your hopes, coz I'm not the best with errors, but it sounds mighty familiar to my issue just without the locking.

What mobo do you have and how old is it?

Hi mate my pc will not start again.
My mobo is a ga-x48-dq6 gigabyte.
