PC not always starting when switched on

As title my PC has started behaving a bit odd, push power button and nothing happens, tried 2 different psu's and both doing it. Press it a few times and eventually it will power up, any ideas?

MSI x570 Gaming wifi
AMD 5950x
64GB DDR4 pc3600
Tried Corsair and Thermaltake psu's
RTX3070

I know it may sound silly but have you tried a different wall socket for PSU?

I haven't no, will give it a go though

Using extension lead, i'll go direct to a socket. Only thing was the 64GB ram up from 32

battery on main board needs replacing.

Cmos ?

OK so tried direct into wall socket, new kettle lead, new cmos battery and still doing the same thing. Think maybe its finally dying? Bought when AM4 launched so how long ago was that 5 years?

Surely not already dying out, My wife still running a AM4 Setup with Ryzen 3600....

Nothings lose on the board like panel connections etc?

I'll pull it apart tomorrow and rebuild it to make sure. Thing is if it was a loose wire or something surely it wouldn't start at all

Have tried going back to 32GB RAM?

Also still on AM4 and no intention of upgrading for a long time.

Blimey that long! Have tried with a single stick of 8,16 and 32

Did you try using the pins on the motherboard to boot as suggested earlier in case you got a dodgy button?

To rule out the case switch
Just remove the connector from motherboard
And bridge the pins with a screwdriver
It's a momentary switch
So don't need to keep the pins bridged

As others said
Extension leads,the kettle lead,cmos battery ,different wall socket
Are all possibilities too
Mostly free or cheap to test
Before considering it might be a psu problem
Or motherboard problem
Speaking of motherboard
Make sure the 24 pin is fully latched in
Had similar years ago and turned out the board was flexing
Below the 24 pin socket so it wasn't fully inserting

Is it the pwr pins that need bridging?

Did you reset CMOS yet too?

Replaced the battery which would do it?

Bridged power pin and it fired straight up

ok so looks like the power button then as it wont switch the pc off either

Could try thr case manufacturer
See if can get an exact replacement
Or could take the switch apart
And see if the contacts need cleaning
Or bent a little to make better contact
Or get a button/switch off amazon ,eBay etc
Though unlikely they will be a perfect fit
But will still do the job

There's also external switches
Ones where you have to route the wires out
Through pci slot or similar
Or wireless ones where it's on/off by a remote controller

Looking at the remote option as moving the pc into a dedicated game/movie room soon so could be handy
