Hello Everyone,

My AM2 Based PC appears not to be booting off any drives.

It POSTs fine and detects my hard drive but will not boot from it. I have tried Resetting Bios, putting the hard drive in another PC and it boots into windows fine. I have disconnected all other hard drives to only leave the boot drive and still no joy, its correctly configured in the bios to boot as the primary device but still no joy.

I have also tried reseating RAM & Graphics card... Its been working fine for a few weeks although I did have this issue a few weeks ago and managed to get it to boot from it after a few Bios resets etc.

Motherboard is a MSI K9N Neo v1 with fairly Old Bios (Had a look into upgrading it and MSI only seem to offer Bios Upgrades from windows these days :( )

Any Ideas? I'm all out...

Thanks,

Michael

You try'd flashing the bios with latest version?

Thats something which I wanted to try but It apears from the MSI site that the Bios can only be flashed if your booted into windows...

I also don't think the PCs going to boot off any boot device ... so I'm unsure how I could flash it :(
