Just put my system together and its not booting up

the spec is Q6600, P5Q pro, 2 x 5770's in CF, H-50, 4GB 8500 Kingston memory, 1tb HDD and a DvdRw.

Psu is a CM 850 pro

Installed everything as normal but the pc wouldn't start

Ive taken everything out of the mobo leaving just the cpu and the 8pin cpu power and 24pin power cable and get nothing.

Tried with the 2 cards, just 1 and none but still no post.

Replaced the battery and still no post.

I get a light on the mobo and the back of the psu but it doesnt boot up.

You can hear the h-50 water starting up and the fans start to spin for a split second and then they stop.

Any ideas what it could be?

cheers

i assume when you said only CPU, 8-pin and 24-pin, you meant RAM as well? have you tried all possible combinations of RAM sticks?

have you got the front power connections in the right pins? that was my problem when i first started lol, otherwise try disconnecting everything and start again

turned out to be a faulty psu which i was sold :(

stuck a 750W psu i bought this morning, everything working 100% now.
