Hi all,

Having a bit of bother with my machine. I have not used it for about 3 months and then yesterday I tried to turn it on. The fans started for a millisecond and then stopped. I unplugged, re plugged in and the same thing. The blue LED's on the fans light up for a split second and the fans spin but then die right away.

I have an Enermax PSU that keeps extracting hot air after the machine has been switched off and this function happens even though the PC does not power fully so I suspect the PSU is OK? Dodgy MB perhaps?

Any advice greatly appreciated.

The only way youre going to be able to tell is to ask a mate nicely to lend you his PC and swap components out. Id start with PSU and mobo as sounds like its one of them for it to not even be producing error codes, could be either. Easiest thing to swap is PSU, try another and see if it boots, if still no joy then yeah thats pointing towards mobo, but if you can try n get an alternate to test just to make sure
