I built a new a pc. When i try to boot it, it doesn't get to post. On the motherboard (gigabyte GA-Z07x-gaming 7) the lcd code sates either c0 or 3a. On the manual states c0 is Reserved (which is no help) and 3a is IOH PEI initialization.
I've tried to use one stick of ram on all 4 slots and also got another ram stick pulled from a working pc, but still the same. Also tried another psu and even took the components out the case and built it outside with just cpu+cooler, ram and psu, but still those two errors.

Any ideas?

did you try a long cmos clear? leave battery out a good 10 minutes then try

it should just work idk whats up

can also inspect cpu socket for any bent pins,

Try clearing the cmos by pulling the battery out while powered off.

There is also a switch near the boards power button to flip between the two BIOS chips, try that.

I have tried the second bios, checked the pins and tried to clear the bios by using the jumper but haven't pulled the battery itself. Do you that would give a different result?

try it,you have nothing to lose

if that don't work id look into rma'ing the board

you could build outside the case on wooden/cardboard surface just to rule out any short circuits
