PC not loading, 1 long beep, 3 short

As said when I turn my brothers PC on theres 1 long beep followed by three short.

The code seems to refer to either RAM/GPU problem but I have swapped both and neither seem to be defective.

The board is an Asus P5N-E SLI/Nv 650i with an 8800GT card
Not sure if anyone has any ideas but anything is appreciated!

Try removing all ram bar one stick and then try the other just in case the ram is coursing you problems.
Try a CMOS reset.

OK Tried both, no avail!

Any more ideas?

Maybe some error with the motherboard then if you've tested it with different graphics and memory and also reset the CMOS.

Is this a new system or has the problem just started after he's had it a while?

The memory controller, perhaps, if the memory itself is fine?

Just started at the weekend.
Apparently it just shut down mid-use and wouldnt come on again!
