PC not Posting

Hi guys,
My friends computer has been acting up recently. It started after a period of not being used for 3 weeks.
He says it started crashing with random error codes and blue screens.

My initial impression was maybe PSU or overheating.

Since then it has started hanging at POST and not booting...
Again, thinking maybe memory or mobo problem?

Any ideas?

Forgot to add spec:

Phenom X4
Noname PSU
Noname RAM
ATI 4950

Either PSU or RAM most likely. If he has two sticks of RAM then thats deac easy to check. Can you lend him a PSU or have him bring round his pc?

Okay have solved it, thanks for the help guys! I thought it was the same thing so was about to switch out the ram when he told me that a SATA port connecting the hard drive had failed a month earlier.
I switched the hard drive again (to the only remaining SATA port his DVD drive was connected to) and its all working perfectly again.
Thanks for the advice, I thought it was a RAM/PSU problem too, very weird way for a MOBO problem to manifest.
