Right, about half an hour ago I was playing a bit of Battlefield and my game crashed. Went to close it and it was not responding so I opened task manager. The screen then went completely white (including the task bar) and everything was unresponsive so I powered it off by pressing the power button.

I tried turning it back on and nothing happened. Weird. Took the side panel off and tried powering it up via the button on the board. Same thing.

1) Took out the GPU and tried.
2) Tried with one stick of RAM.
3) Pressed the Clear CMOS button.
4) Checked the board for any burn marks.
5) Unplugged it from the wall and left it for a bit.

Nothing.

On the V Gene there's some LEDs around the Audio Chip and they are still lit up. Its like its in 'standby' but there's absolutely no response when I press the power buttons.

have you checked the psu ?

This morning I managed to boot with the GPU taken out (I'd left it completely alone from last night). I then plugged the GPU in and I booted into the BIOS with an 'A2' error code on the board. This is something to do with boot drives so I made sure all my SATA power and data connectors were in (they were) and it booted into windows just fine.

This has me stumped really. I'll update this thread if it happens again.

Maybe PSU is on the way out? Maybe see if you can try a different one and see if the issue still happens?

Thread Revival time!

So it happened again this morning. Turned off the PC last night and hit the power button this morning and...nothing. I was planning to pull apart and rewire my PC to make way for a new GPU today anyway so I did that and hoped that when I put it back together it would boot up. Nope.

I then tried this and the PSU powered up with two fans attached. I turned it off and I tried it again but this time nothing happens. The PSU only seems to want to power up if its left unplugged for 10mins.

This is properly weird so it looks like I'm without a PC until I can get it RMA'd. (Luckily purchased from here so it should be painless).

If anyone has any other ideas that would be lovely.

Cheers :o

Edit: Can't swap out to the TX650M because that's faulty too.
