PC not showing under Entire Network

If I go to Windows Explorer>My Network Places>Entire Network>Microsoft Windows Network>Mshome I find that the PC I am working on is there but not the other PC on my home network. They are both in the same workgroup.

Why would that be?

I am using Kaspersky Internet Security Suite 10 if that makes any difference. I have set it so that the network is local on Kaspersky and I can see the mapped network files, but not as shown above. I can navigate to the files too.

Any ideas?

if they are different OS ie xp, windows 7 etc. then they will have different workgroups so wouldn't be there.

just connect directly to the ip addresses, make a shortcut on your desktop to the ip adress that is what i do...

example: \\192.168.1.15\

make sure you have something 'shared', dload folder etc, else it wont be visable.
