Hi guys, hope you can help.

My PC is set to the default 'Balanced (recommended)' power profile, the monitor switches off at the correct time, but the PC does not go to STBY.

I am running Windows 8 RTM on an Asus P8Z77-V PRO based PC (see sig rig). I have installed all Win 8 specific drivers from the Asus website and other than this everything is working beautifully.

I read that wireless mice can sometime cause an issue, so tried disconnecting the receiver for my Logitech M705, but that made no difference.

could it be one of the network cards preventing sleep? I am connected directly to my router using the onboard Intel Ethernet adapter. However, the mobo also has a Qualcomm wifi adapter, this is enabled, but not connected to any network.

Hope you can help me out here.
Thanks guys.

PS> tried with the PC locked and unlocked (password screen) and that also makes no difference. Also, i'm running at stock on the CPU at the mo.

UPDATE, just after posting this my PC went to sleep as it should (I've set sleep to 1min for testing). It has managed to sleep before, but not always, so something might be intermittently stopping it.
