Pc Not Starting

Hello,

I have been using my new pc for 6 months or so with no issues and then tonight the pc switched off and wouldn't switch back on.

After some investigation the Cosair ICUE will display the warning sign when my GPU (GTX 1070) is plugged in and with the battery (1000w) on but will not start, but there's power to the motherboard (lights on). If I disonnect the power PCIe cables from the GPU but leave it connected to the motherboard the pc will start and the lights from the GPU come on. I have reset the CMOS, differen't PCIe cables, uninstalled ICUE, rebuilt the pc, nothing has worked.

I did a search and nothing came up specific to this situation.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Full specs would really help. If it is an oem build from ocuk or another supplier then contact their tech confusion before you do anything drastic involving a sledgehammer

If it is a cpu with an IGP then remove the 1070 entirely and plug the monitor into the output on the mobo and see if you can get into the bios.

With it being so old the most likely culprit is a dead gpu but motherboard is another suspect.

I looked into it further and it seemed the 8-pin connection was causing the problem. I ended up buying a new GPU Sunday.

Thanks again for the help :)
