Hi all

I've just built my new pc and when I press the power button I hear the aio pump and the led comes on and my gpu fan spins but nothing else happens. The motherboard power and reset buttons illuminate as does the bios led but none of the fans spin up, I have carried over the psu, gpu and I know they were working as I have literally just pulled them out of my old system, if anyone could help it would be much appreciated.

Intel 5820k
Msi x99a Sli plus
16gb crucial ballistix Ram
Amd r9 290x
Raijintek triton 280mm aio
Evga 1000w p2
Samsung 256Gb 840 and 850 pro

Both 24 pin and CPU plugged in? i know seems obvious but i have forgotten the CPU power cable in the past.

Ram in the correct slots? On an msi board you need to use slots 1, 3, 7, 5. Two DIMMS on each side of the cpu socket for a quad channel kit.

Not the clearest pic but should give you an idea.

I took everything apart and it looks as though some of the pins on the cpu socket are bent and I'm guessing this is causing the issue with the pc not booting?

I just put it all back together and it's up and running now, I don't know what but I must have done something wrong.
Fortunately there wasn't any bent pins just my eyes and the light tricking me.
Thanks everyone for the help though
