just put my pc back together after installing a new distribution plate.

Won't turn on at all no lights on the mobo nothing.

I filled the loop the psu was working the pump worked now nothing un sure where to begin?

Test the psu and cables with a psu tester they were fine.
Then jumped started the psu with just the lights, pump and fans they worked.
Then plugged the 24pin back into the mobo nothing no lights no fans no pump.
Is the mobo dead?
Change the cmos switch?

Looks that way
Is the any power or diagnostic led lights on the motherboard ?

Looks like PSU isn't turning on. Did you install sleeved cable extensions? If problem persists try using stock cable.

If it still exists drain loop, disconnect all the connectors and test the PSU turns on by shorting the required pins.

The psu kicks in when I had the fans pump and lights connected to it.

When all the other cables are connected to the psu it doesn't kick in.

No lights etc

So is your loop complete and filled? Also you said PSU "had"kicked in. Can you try removing all cables and just checking if PSU turns on now via shooting two of the required pins

Back together?
How apart was it?
Motherboard removed?
Try easiest things first remove bios battery for at least 10 minutes
Try shorting the 2 pins on the motherboard the on/off switch go to

Hmmmm. Yeah try resetting the mb. Also do you have a spare PSU to test with. Maybe if you can borrow from someone to do a quick test?

Never tried shorting the pins on the mobo, how do you do that?
Ill try the cmos battery and buy a new one.
I dont rhink I removed it just changed the distroplate.
Maybe I took it out once during this process.

The mobo is the aorus master z390

You remove the little wire going to/from
The on/off button
Then touch both pins it was on with a screwdriver
It rules out a faulty on/off switch
Or a break inside the little cable
Non of that works it maybe a short circuit
Which would mean testing it outside the case
Pita when you have a custom loop obviously

Right so I jumped the mobo and it worked with just the 24pin 8pin eps and gpu cables.
It turned on.
I just have the power switch front panel connector in.
Then i add lights, fans, pump they work but 2 of the fans have stopped working ? Ffs
Any idea why 2 fans have just stopped.
I have the 7 fans and the pwm pump plugged into the octo.

It boots into windows fine

how are the fans wired - directly to MB or controller/splitters? Each fan pin has a limit (1A typically) so it can only run a limited number of fans.
