Pc not turning on

Socket looks fine in that pic.
Can you take everything out of the case and try to get it up and running just on a desk to eliminate the new case being an issue? If you still have issues with the new cooler, try putting the old one back on and see what happens. Let us know your findings.

Agreed. Barebones setup is needed at this stage
 
 
It's these pins here i thought looked off.
I took it all out the case and the issues continued. I moved the pins I thought looked off under a magnifying glass and the pc now works with the cooler fully installed. Thanks all for all help and advice given.

I get what you saw on them, tricky using a photo as its a fixed angle but the light reflecting off those bottom left ones didn't match the neighbours. Could have been that or just taking it apart and putting it back together fixed 'something' - either way, glad it's back up & running

Thank you. The wife's glad too as it looked like I had to spend more money again
 
When you fit the AIO, are you connecting the fan control to the correct header on the motherboard ? Some BIOS won't boot if a CPU fan isn't detected.
