My PC has recently started freezing up but only ever in the game League of Legends. Didn't do it once while playing through Deus Ex. Basically the screen freezes and I get a buzzing noise come out of the speakers. This is the same way it would freeze if my CPU OC wasn't stable when I was stress testing it so I am thinking that maybe my OC has just become unstable; I have lowered the OC for now to see if that stops it.

It seemed to have started happening around the same time I updated my graphics card drivers. I don't suppose it's likely that could be responsible for the entire system freezing up like this, could it?

Probably the cause, I have seen graphics drivers hang the system and you just get a buzz or whatever was playing just loop on and off from the speakers.

Also whenever you update major hardware drivers the overclock may become unstable too or start to show it was not really very stable in the first place.

All right, that's good to know I will try rolling back the drivers. I've been running this OC for over a year, no problems until now so hopefully it's just a driver thing

Do you not think the problem might lie in the first sentence? this is the only time it crashes?

Well to be fair, I haven't been doing much else remotely stressful on it recently other than play Deus Ex and it could have just be coincidence that it hadn't crashed during that.

I haven't had any problems since I installed the older graphics card drivers, so hopefully that was the problem.

Never mind, It did it again today (while playing lol again). Currently putting it through 100 passes of burn test (on 80 right now). Will also try mem test.
